Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: July 13, 2026
Shortlist exists to help you present your real experience well. This policy sets the rules that keep the service honest, lawful and fair for everyone.
1. Honesty first — no misrepresentation
You must not use Shortlist to fabricate, exaggerate or falsify any qualification, degree, certification, licence, job title, employment history, reference, salary or achievement. The tools are designed to help you articulate true information more clearly. You are solely responsible for the accuracy and truthfulness of every CV, cover letter, answer and profile you produce and submit.
2. No discrimination
You must not use Shortlist to create content that discriminates against, harasses or disparages any person or group on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, religion or any other protected characteristic, or to screen or filter people on such a basis.
3. Lawful use only
You must not use the service to:
- Break any law or infringe anyone’s rights, including intellectual property or privacy;
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity;
- Upload personal data about other people without a lawful basis and their awareness;
- Generate unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit or deceptive content;
- Attempt to reverse engineer, overload, scrape or disrupt the service or its security.
4. No misuse of the AI tools
Do not use the tools to produce content intended to deceive an employer about who you are or what you have done, to auto-generate mass spam applications, or to bypass an employer’s own honesty requirements.
5. Not professional advice
Shortlist does not provide legal, immigration, visa or careers advice, and you must not rely on it as such or resell it as such. See our Terms of Service.
6. Enforcement
We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that breach this policy, and report unlawful activity where required. If you see misuse, tell us at support@denhasso.shop.
